Borders In Recovery is a Lived Experience Recovery Community and a member of the Scottish Recovery Consortium. Visible recovery communities have become a mainstay of the Scottish recovery landscape over the last ten years. Recovery communities offer recovery support, meaningful activities, socialisation opportunities and health and wellbeing activities as well as many other leisure and personal development opportunities for their participants and volunteers.
Borders In Recovery runs Recovery Cafes Every Weekday across the Borders and a Breakfast Club on Saturday Mornings (Galashiels), we also run Peer Support Groups and a Music Group. We have SMART Recovery Groups coming Soon!
We also have a family support peer group, which is for family members impacted by a loved one’s substance use, where we have 1:1 support and complimentary therapies available!
All of our cafes and groups are free, everyone is welcome, so why not pop along to your nearest café and join us!
We are gratefully supported by: The National Lottery Community Fund, Borders Alcohol & Drugs Partnership, With You, NHS Borders, Scottish Government (Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund) and Scottish Borders Council.
Please note, that our only stipulation for coming to our groups is that you must not have used illicit drugs or alcohol on the day that you are attending.
